It has effectively promoted cross-enterprise, cross-industry and cross-region data sharing, and played an important role in epidemic prevention and control, industrial chain and supply chain protection, and industrial operation monitoring. The system of industrial Internet platforms is taking shape at a faster pace. More than 150 industrial Internet platforms with certain regional and industrial influence have been built, and the number of industrial equipment connected has exceeded 79 million, serving more than 1.6 million industrial enterprises. A three-level technical monitoring system featuring coordination between the state, province and enterprises has been basically established, and systems and mechanisms have been improved simultaneously.

The value added of the country's manufacturing sector increased from 16.98 trillion yuan in 2012 to 31.4 trillion yuan in 2021.
